This cave temple in Gavipuram is associated with Kempegowda. It is famous for an annual alignment on Makara Sankranti (mid-January), when the setting sun shines through a window, between the horns of the Nandi, and onto the Shiva linga inside the cave. The giant stone discs in the forecourt are unusual.
